Frequently Asked Questions:

Is this a solution only for manufacturing companies?

No, DRD is not only intended for manufacturing companies. It can be applied in various industries aiming to improve efficiency, innovation, and process optimization. If you want to start planning your digital transformation, this is the product for you.

What does the price of DRD depend on?

The price depends on the type of map (its scope and the experts’ working time), the company’s needs, as well as the type of competition: “grant maps” can be simple or highly complex. Therefore, we adjust the price according to the workload required to develop it in line with competition criteria.

In which competitions is it honored?

The map is subsidized in some EU grant competitions. We list them on the “Financing” page and mark such competitions with the designation: “DRD”. Local/regional competitions may also arise, requiring grant recipients to develop such a strategy. In these cases, our “grant map” will also meet the evaluators’ expectations.

Where is the DRD methodology from and what is it based on?

The DRD (Digital Roadmap Development) methodology is based on an analysis of digital transformation needs in organizations. It guides companies through the transformation process, creating a long-term digital development plan that identifies key stages and milestones necessary to achieve modern manufacturing practices. It was developed by Dr. Piotr Wiśniewski based on scientific literature and extensive professional experience in leading digital transformations in companies, including those in the automotive industry.

What does a technology audit look like? How to prepare for it?

A technology audit involves analyzing the current state of technology in a company and identifying areas that require improvement. Preparing for the audit includes gathering data on existing systems and processes (through site visits, surveys, and interviews) as well as defining a vision for future technological development. Therefore, it is essential to prepare by collecting knowledge (and the people who possess it), which can be more challenging in larger and more dispersed organizations. However, we assist in ensuring that the audit process runs smoothly.

How long does it take to create a map? Will I make it in time for the competition?

The time required to create a development roadmap (DRD) depends on the complexity of the project and the scope of the analyses. Under standard conditions, this process typically takes several weeks. To meet competition deadlines, it is advisable to start the procedure as soon as possible and collaborate with the DBR77 team. Remember that a lot also depends on your engagement.

Does the "grant" map have any value beyond being a mandatory attachment to the application?

Of course! The grant map is not just an “attachment” but also a valuable tool for planning and implementing various projects (not only those funded by the EU). It helps identify key investments for the organization and plan a long-term schedule for their execution.

What is DRD on the DBR77 Platform?

DRD, or Digital Development Roadmap, is a digital development map that provides a long-term and holistic plan covering key aspects of an organization’s digital growth. The DBR77 Platform offers a comprehensive knowledge base on this topic and access to educational materials that deepen understanding in this area.

Will my data be safe?

Yes, the DBR77 Platform ensures user data security and privacy by offering advanced protection mechanisms and compliance with current security standards.

How much does an IoT system and its implementation cost?

The cost of an IoT system and its implementation may vary depending on the chosen solution and the scope of service. For detailed information, it is best to contact our Sales Department (pricing is currently being developed).

Do I need to buy sensors?

Purchasing sensors is not mandatory, but they may be necessary depending on the specific requirements of the data analysis process you want to implement. Users can utilize existing data or deploy new devices if needed.

Where is my data collected?

Your data is stored in the cloud, allowing easy access and management from anywhere. DBR77 also ensures the security of data processing and storage.

Is the system compatible with the ERP system we have?

The DBR77 IoT system is designed to be compatible with various ERP systems. Collaboration with integrators can help ensure proper integration and customization to meet the specific needs of the organization.

How is the test/simulation data deposited, in what format and in what form can we retrieve it? What is the retention period for this data?

Test environment data is stored for the duration of the subscription + 90 days. Collected and stored data is kept in a personalized DBR77 database. Selected data can be imported in .XLSX, .CSV, .XML, and .JSON formats. Simulation data can be downloaded after the simulation is completed; individual simulations are not stored long-term.

What does it mean in the license - number of users unlimited - editing or display only?

The designated administrator of a company account on the DBR77 platform can grant access to any number of users and manage their permissions. The access management options are extensive, ranging from “view-only” to full editing rights and the ability to sign contracts.

What do the 10 test scenes mean?

A single scene contains one hall of any dimensions. In practice, a scene often represents a factory or a part of a factory in its “real” state, while other scenes may be duplicates of the factory for testing different layouts, schedule changes, or various parts of the factory that different teams are working on.

Is it possible to add new elements by ourselves (not available in the object library)? If not, what do we need to pass in order for the software vendor to introduce a new element (e.g. a packaging machine)? If so, what file formats does this platform support?

Depending on the license, there is a specified number of custom models that can be added. To do this, we require .STEP or .FBX files, along with a few photos of the device. Additionally, for an extra fee, it is possible to add more individual models or use “placeholder geometries,” which functionally represent the device but do not visually replicate it.

Is it possible to modify the code responsible for the operation of machines, for example, and add custom scripts? If so, what programming language is used?

It is possible to replicate production logic without the need for programming.

Is it possible to simulate machine failures? If so, is it possible to input MTBF and MTTR parameters?

Yes. It is possible to input MTBF, MTTR parameters, and the probability of other unplanned events, as well as simulate random events and their impact on the production process and the OEE of a line or the entire plant.

Where is the data stored regarding the DBR77 digital twin?

Server – Digital Ocean Frankfurt – security measures -> 3 levels of legacy security. The DBR77 platform – all interactions run over the internal network; access to the server requires an SSH key, and data is encrypted with SSL in transit.

15 models max = 15 manufacturing facilities or 15 of their machines?

15 additional models implemented in the project for use in visualization, with no restrictions on using models available in the Studio 3D environment.

What is the latency of live data?

This depends on the number and type of connected sensors as well as the internet connection speed at the facility. On average, it ranges from a few milliseconds to several seconds. NOTE! For full functionality, depending on the sensors, a DBR77 BigData license may be required.

"support technical - queued" - what is the SLA?

Depending on the selected license, we guarantee ticket acceptance by the technical department either chronologically (without a guaranteed response time) or within 48 hours (Monday to Friday) for the “simulation” license and within 24 hours (Monday to Friday) for the “algorithmization” license. For the Enterprise license, response time is negotiable. Currently, as we receive few technical issue reports, tickets are typically accepted on the same day, even in the queued version.

What types of graphs can be generated in a simulation?

Simple charts are generated in the dashboard. Custom charts can be created manually based on the generated data.

Is the offer made by the Integrator binding?

The bidding process is conducted based on the Civil Code, similarly to the traditional method of submitting and accepting offers. The offer submitted via the Platform can be considered a budgetary offer, as it includes the implementation of a concept that describes only the key parameters. The process of concluding a contract for the delivery of a workstation, just like in traditional transactions, involves additional arrangements. The final offer is approved by both parties before signing the contract. The process reflected on the Platform does not differ in any way from a standard bidding process carried out in typical transactions.

Are Technology Challenges visible to Platform users before they are published?

Until the publication of the Technology Challenge is approved, it is visible only to its author and the members of the team created for its execution. If the solution is made public (by selecting the “public” button), integrators meeting the specified selection criteria will receive a notification about the new Technology Challenge. From that moment, the Technology Challenge and the information contained within it become publicly visible.

Will it still be possible to change the offer after it has been submitted?

Each offer can be modified by both parties at any stage of the order fulfillment process. However, the workstation implementation offer, in accordance with the concept, is a solution that binds within the scope described in the concept. In practice, both on the Platform and in the delivery of robotic workstations outside the Platform, it has been observed that from the initial offer submission to the final agreements in the delivery contract, the offer undergoes changes in terms of both the scope of implementation and the remuneration.

Does anyone see what budget assumptions the Investor is making as part of the bid they are preparing?

No. All information entered by the Investor’s team as assumptions for the offer calculation remains unknown to anyone else. This information is treated as confidential in accordance with the Platform’s terms of use. The Investor submits an offer independently of their own calculations and investment efficiency assessment. This means that the calculations prepared during the solution development stage in the 3D Studio do not oblige the Investor to submit a corresponding offer.

Does the Investor incur fees for working on the Platform?

No. According to the Platform’s terms of use, the Investor carries out their activities free of charge and in full scope.

For whom are the solutions reported by Integrators as a response to public challenges visible?

After the solution is submitted and made public by the Integrator, it is presented exclusively to the Investor for whom it was prepared. If the Integrator agrees to enable the option for the solution to be visible to other Platform users, it will be displayed in the database of completed investments after its completion. However, if the Investor does not give such consent, the solution will not be displayed anywhere by default.

How long are the bids submitted for the solutions presented valid?

The Integrator defines the validity period of the offer when submitting a proposal for workstation implementation.
